AFTER ALL, WHO IS GOD? is a documentary series that explores spirituality through children's point of view. With kids as leading characters, the first season was shooted entirely in Rio Grande do Sul, state that has the largest religious diversity of Brazil.
With scripts created in partnership with the protagonists, the series presents 11 religious cultures. The Mbyá-Guarani’s pipe, Batuque’s drums, evangelical praise, the ayahuasca of União do Vegetal, Buddhist meditation, the evolutionist belief of atheists, among others - each episode presents the particular way children understand and connect with their gods.

EPISODES

1. WHAT IS RELIGION?
In the first episode we follow Muriel, our host, in the search to answer a not very simple question: What is religion?

2. JEWS
Ester, Natan, Davi e Rafa are brothers. Together they present the Synagogue and tell the story of Abraham - the first Jew.

3. PAGANISM

Real witches only do magic for good. That's what Gabriela and Isabela believe, two very nice little witches that accompany us in this episode. They share some magical secrets, such as the importance of our connection with nature.

4. SNOW BALL CHURCH

Amanda, Benjamin, Betânia, Levi, Natan and Elisa attend Snow Ball Church, an evangelical church that has a surfboard on the altar. In this episode we learn that it is possible to talk to God through music.

5. MBYÁ-GUARANI
The Mbyá-Guarani they are an indigenous ethnic group with a strong presence in southern Brazil. While the "kiringue" - the children - present us the village, Cacique Cirilo tells the story of the brothers Sun and Moon.

6. CATHOLICS
At the “priest” Pedro improvised mass Pedro we have biscuits and grape juice. With him, Isabela, Davi, João Pedro and Júlia talk about some teachings of the Bible and explain to us what is a Christian.

7. NAÇÃO
The Orixás are gods from Africa. They communicate with humans through the drums. Eduarda and Otávio, two “batuqueiros”, welcome us to their terreiros and explain about these deities who like to eat, dance and manifest themselves through the forces of nature.

8. UNIÃO DO VEGETAL
Beatriz and Júlia are the presenters of “Vegetal News”. In a fun interview program, the girls and their friends present the story of the UDV, a religion that was born in the Amazon and connects with God through a tea - the ayahuasca.

9. ISLAM

Aya, Ammar, Lina, Adham and Ali are Muslims - name given to followers of Islam. With them we learn about the Koran, about the importance of praying in the direction of the holy city of Mecca and also that "Allah" is the name of God in Arabic.

10. ESPIRITISM

Ladies and gentlemen! It is through a theater troupe that we learn about spiritism. A lively group explains about reincarnation, obsessive spirits, Allan Kardec and the energizing passes - an exchange of positive energy between people.

11. ATHEISTS

What if God didn't exist? That is what a group of mini scientists believe! During an afternoon in a science museum they tell us why believing in God may not be that simple.

12. BUDISM

Do you know how to meditate? Raíssa, Janaína and Tayza prepare a “tutorial to clear the mind” and help us to better understand Buddha's teachings.

13. AFTER ALL, WHO IS GOD?

After all, who is God? In the last episode of the series we brought together all religions and try to find out if there is a single answer to this difficult question.
